I like experimenting with glass, metal, and water in 3D programs because they produce reflections. Reflections add interesting new perspectives to simple scenes.
The sphere on the left is glass and the other is metal.
Look at the spheres and the water and you'll notice that each element reflects things in it's own way. I like how the spheres reflect each other, the sun, and the reflections in the water too.
